Dreams and no-bakes....

I am a dreamer...always have been.... I dream every single night without fail, 98% of the time.  I can't remember when the last time I slept all night without dreaming. It's just part of me - part of who I am - I dream. Sometimes they are crazy dreams, sometimes they are scary dreams that wake me up in the middle of the night, sometimes they are sweet dreams that are so endearing and so real, I could have sworn they actually happened. Some are ridiculously stupid, and some are kind of spiritual. But always I dream. Some are aggravating - for instance, I dream about an old beau of mine from years back - I dream about him 2-3 times a week, consistently. I rarely ever see this person, but if I were to be honest with myself, (which occasionally I am!), I think deep inside I still care for this person. Which for me explains why he still haunts my dreams on a weekly basis. Like it or not, and - most of the time, I hate it.
I dreamed a dream last night that was a little bit different than the rest. It's not the contents of the dream that are so important; it's the "happy ending" that really touched me. It concerned something that had been a thorn in my flesh for years. Something I used to battle, in times past, but felt like I had overcome. In my dream last night I was faced with this battle, this temptation, something that in the past I would have given in to; but this time was different - this time I stood my ground, resisted the enemy, and was triumphant in the end. Of course, even in my dream I realized this was the Lord's doing - He brought me out - He delivered me. He did. Not me. I was aware of this even in my slumbering state, and I awoke so encouraged to realize that the victory that I claimed in life - that is - being awake - it had absorbed into my subconscious state of mind, and even there, I had been delivered and was a new woman, the old things were past. I can't describe how good it made me feel, when I woke up, to realize that even though in truth I hadn't had to put my faith to the test about this particular thing, but in my dreams - I was able to resist by the Grace of God and be an overcomer.
Even though it was "only a dream", I still feel like praising the Lord, for He did it ALL for me! I have often wondered what I would do if faced with this particular testing again and now I know. I know because I faced it in my dream last night!

In other unrelated news - I made peanut butter no-bakes last night....I had been craving them... and I only made two dozen, which is a good thing, because I single handedly put away almost all of them! I could snort 'em with a straw, I like them so much!!   Ciao!
